HYDERABAD, March 16: District Nazim Kanwar Naveed Jamil on Friday expressed his pleasure over increasing number of students seeking admission to government educational institutions and said the credit went to the district for restoring parents’ confidence in government schools.

He said while speaking to the teachers of higher secondary school and subject specialists at a function held at the Government Girls’ Comprehensive High School, Latifabad that there was still room for more improvement.

He blamed wrong policies for the erosion of parents’ confidence in the government schools.

The monitoring committee had so far paid surprise visits to more than 300 schools and the district government had taken action against many irresponsible teachers and educational staff on its recommendations, he said.
