HYDERABAD, March 28: Pinyari police lodged an FIR against an ASI and a police constable after a detainee escaped from the custody of investigation police on Wednesday.

Dadan Chandio was in police custody after being remanded by a court of law in a case lodged against him under section 324 Qisas and Diyat Ordinance.

According to taluka investigating officer Asad Qadri the detainee escaped from the custody after he was allowed to offer morning prayers.

He said that a case vide crime No 30/07 under sections 224, 225 PPC and 155 of Police Order had been lodged on his complaint against ASI Khalil Shah and Constable Anwar Bhand.

Meanwhile, the mother of Dadan Chandio told journalists that police were lying that her son had escaped. She said that he was arrested by SHO of Baldia police station Sikandar Bhatti on March 22 and then handed over to Pinyari police and insisted that her son was still in police’s custody.
