HYDERABAD, March 30: As part of their continuous protest against the president’s action against Justice Iftikhar Mohammad Chaudhry lawyers boycotted courts for an hours, staged demonstrations, rallies and token hunger strikes on Friday in several towns of the province.

In Hyderabad, lawyers including office-bearers of district bar Qazi Abdul Sattar, Fazal Qadir Memon, Allah Bachayo Soomro, Abdul Aziz Shaikh, Abdul Khaliq Leghari and Noorul Haq Qureshi observed a token hunger strike outside the judicial complex after boycotting court proceedings for an hour.

They announced that they would completely boycott courts on April 3 in response to a call by given by Pakistan and Sindh Bar Councils.

Lawyers in Dadu, Khairpur, Naushahro Feroze and Nawabshah also boycotted courts proceedings for an hour, staged rallies and demonstrations and observed token hunger strikes outsides the courts buildings and bar rooms.
