ATTOCK, April 5: Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz will visit the district on Sunday to perform the ground-breaking of Chacch interchange on Islamabad-Peshawar (M-I) Motorway and an environmental park at Ghorghusti village.

He said the Rs250 million Chacch interchange project had been approved by the prime minister to facilitate the people of Hazro and its adjoining areas.

Similarly, the Ghorghusti park would be completed at a cost of Rs150 million by the bank of the Ghazi Barotha Hydropower Project channel and would serve as a serene recreational spot.

Mr Amin, who is also an MNA from NA-59 Attock district, said that Mr Aziz was undertaking the visit on his special invitation and he would also address a public meeting at Ghorghusti village. “It is a great honour for the people of Attock that the PM has been elected from their district and is taking personal interest in the uplift of the area.”

Due to this interest, gas facility had been provided to more than 50 per cent area of his constituency at the cost of Rs400 million. Likewise, electricity had been provided to over 95 per cent areas and the remaining would also have the same facility by the year end, he claimed.

He asked the local PML leaders and activists to participate in the meeting along with the people with great enthusiasm and give a warm welcome to the prime minister.
