PESHAWAR, April 10: The NWFP government has said that it has not received any plan from the federal government regarding merger of some of the union councils of Haripur district with Islamabad territory.

A spokesman for the provincial government contradicted reports appearing in a section of the press which said that under the Islamabad Master Plan some areas of the Haripur district were to be made part of the federal capital territory.

He said the provincial government had neither received a proposal nor a plan envisaging such a merger. He termed the newspaper reports unfounded.
