Chinese envoy calls on Musharraf

ISLAMABAD, Feb 26: The outgoing ambassador of the People’s Republic of China, Lu Shulin, paid a farewell call on President Gen Pervez Musharraf here on Tuesday.

The president paid tributes to the contribution made by Mr Lu Shulin for promoting ties between China and Pakistan.

He remarked that every Pakistani regarded China as a true friend and ally. He added that he was sad to bid farewell to Mr Shulin, and hoped that he would remain in touch.

The ambassador thanked the president and recalled his long association with Pakistan both as an ambassador and as a university student.
