PESHAWAR, April 25: Syed Mohammad Hasnain Ali Shah, general-manager of the Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited, was injured and his driver was killed when armed men opened fire on his vehicle near his house on Wednesday morning.

Police said that Syed Hasnain was going to his office in Hayatabad Township from his residence in Tajabad in his official vehicle (LDC-530) when two assailants attacked the vehicle.

As a result, his driver Jan Mohammad, son of Mohammad Nazir, died on the spot and Mr Shah received three bullets.
