KHAIRPUR, May 9: The Circle Officer of anti-corruption Khairpur booked seven government employees on corruption charges on Tuesday. The officer, Syed Nadir Shah while briefing reporters on Wednesday said that on the complaint of Yar Mohammad Burdi a case had been registered against former sub-inspector police, Inayat Mahar. The complainant had alleged that the SI arrested his brother and released him after taking bribe.

On Sher Mohammad’s complaint, a case had been registered against assistant excise and taxation officer, Nazeer Ahmed Soomro for issuing fake property documents PT-1, he said.

A case was registered against sub-registrar Manzoor Hussain Shaikh for fraudulent registration of revenue record of agricultural land on the complaint of Ali Mohammad Shah, said the officer.

The circle officer further said that on the complaint of Sarang Lashari, a case was lodged against Tapedar Rasool Bux Joyo for forgery in revenue record of the agricultural land. Tapedar Ahmed Ali Lund and HST Mohammad Panjal were booked for wrong verification of a person for domicile certificate.

He added that 14 government employees booked earlier were challaned on Tuesday in the court of anti-corruption special judge, Sukkur.

They were former secretary UC Therhi, Khuda Bux, SHO Ghulam Shabbir, ASI Ghulam Qasim, Education Department Clerk, Mohammad Alam, Constable SRP Islamuddin, Ghulam Hyder, Mohammad Hassan and Mohammad Azam, all three tapedars and their kotwals namely Dilsher, Jeand Khan and Jalaluddin, Clerk Mukhtiarkar Gothani Abadi Scheme, Mumtaz Mirani, Food Inspector Ali Nawaz and Police Department employee Qadam Ali Solangi.

KILLED: A rickshaw driver was killed in a collision between his rickshaw and a donkey cart near Therhi on the National Highway on Wednesday. The deceased was identified as Kaleemullah Kalhoro 22.

His body was handed over to his relatives after the post-mortem.
