DADU: Canal breach floods crops

DADU, May 18: A 15 feet wide breach occurred in Wachooli Shakh at Aboo Samad Village of Mehar taluka on Friday. As a result over 200 acres of land and two fish farms were inundated. Water level was increasing and moving towards Aboo Samad Village.

Villagers’ efforts to plug the breach remained futile till the filling of this report. They appealed to the Sindh minister of irrigation to take action against officials concerned.—BoC
