ISLAMABAD, May 26: Activists of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement from Azad Kashmir on Saturday held a demonstration outside the press club in protest against Pakistan Tehrik-i-Insaf chairman Imran Khan for allegedly using abusive language against MQM chief Altaf Hussain.
MQM’s parliamentary leader in the AJK Legislative Assembly Tahir Khokhar led the protesters.
The protesters raised slogans against Imran Khan and in favour of Altaf Hussain.
PTI chairman Imran Khan had said that he would register a case against MQM chief Altaf Hussain in a court in the United Kingdom for his alleged involvement in the May 12 bloodshed in Karachi.
Mr Khokhar asked Imran Khan to provide the details of the accounts of Shaukat Khanum Memorial Hospital to the nation before raising fingers on others.
He said the opposition parties were targeting the MQM in an effort to improve their own image in the eyes of the people.
Mr Khokhar said the opponents of the MQM under a conspiracy committed violence in Karachi on May 12.
He said that such acts would not reduce the MQM’s popularity.
