HYDERABAD, May 27: The Hyderabad Grand Alliance has condemned the ban on the entry of PTI chief Imran Khan MNA into Sindh and the Punjab government’s order barring him from leaving Lahore and termed it a flagrant violation of fundamental human rights.

In a joint statement issued here on Sunday, the convener of the alliance and MPA, Abdul Rehman Rajput, JI leader Abdul Waheed Qureshi, JUF leader, Taj Mohammad Nahyoon, PPP leader Amanullah Siyal, PML-N leader, Afzal Gujjar and others said that the entry of Imran Khan into Sindh had been banned because he had exposed the real face of MQM chief Altaf Hussain.

They said that the ban had been imposed at the instance of MQM and Sindh had been declared a no-go-area for the national hero. They said that the action of the government to ban the entry of Mr.Khan was a flagrant violation of fundamental human rights.

PALIJO: Awami Tehrik chief Rasool Bux Palijo on Sunday slammed the ban and termed it mala fide, illegal and based on the assumption that the city of Karachi is a private property of Gen Pervez Musharraf and Altaf Hussain.

Speaking to journalists at a hunger strike camp set up by his party outside the press club on Sunday in protest against the ban, Mr Palijo said that the government had imposed the ban due to Mr. Khan’s explicit and frank expression of views about who was responsible for the killing of innocent people on the "Black Saturday".

Mr Khan had held Gen Musharraf, Sindh government and MQM chief Altaf Hussain responsible for the killings.

He cited a long list of offences committed by generals against people right from Gen Ayoub Khan to Gen Ziaul Haq and said: “Gen Musharraf coupled with Altaf Hussain had beaten them all and crossed all the limits after March 9, 2007”.

The governance in Pakistan had become a laughing stock in the world. On the one hand attacks on peaceful people in Karachi were incited while on the other brute force and black-mailing were used to frighten the victims into silence, he said.

He said that Imran Khan had proved to be a brave, conscientious and outspoken son of Pakistan who refused to condone the ghastly crimes perpetrated against people.

SNP: The Sindh National Party chairman, Ameer Bhambhro, has also condemned the ban on the entry of PTI chief Imran Khan into Sindh and said that Sindh province was not the sector office of MQM but homeland of 40 million Sindhis.

TANDO MOHAMMAD KHAN: Activists of PTI in Tando Mohammad Khan, led by Lala Hassan Pathan, staged a protest demonstration outside the district council building on Sunday to protest the ban on the entry of Imran Khan into Sindh. They also raised slogans against the government.

Speaking on the occasion, Lala Hassan Pathan, Sher Mohammad, Ali Ahmed Abro and others, said that Musharraf government had hurt the sentiments of the PTI workers by banning the entry of Imran Khan into Sindh.

They threatened to hold protest demonstrations throughout the province if the ban on Mr.Khan was not lifted.

Our Dadu correspondent adds: The activists of Pakistan Tehrik-i-Insaf took out a rally here on Sunday to protest against the ban. In Johi, the activists of STP staged demonstration against MQM and Sindh government.

Our Naushahro Feroze correspondent adds: Activists of Sindh Tarraqi Passand Party took out a rally in Moro on Sunday. STP activists, led by Abbas Khokhar, were protesting against ban on the entry of Tehrik-i-Insaf chief, Imran Khan by the Sindh government. They demanded withdrawal of ban.
