Speaking at a conference on “Past and Future of Dadu” here on Sunday, held under the aegis of Sindhi Adabi Sangat, he said that it was his old desire to establish campuses of Sindh University at Badin, Mirpurkhas and Dadu, but no land was provided by the government for the purpose where campuses could not be established. In Badin, however, a campus was set up.

He said the District Council of Dadu should pass a resolution for establishing the university campus in Dadu and also expedite the process. Paper work for the university campus in Dadu has almost been completed, he added. He said educated people, with required qualifications, can do their PhDs from Sindh University in any subject.

Referring to standard of education in Sindh, he said that condition of primary education was the worst in Sindh as compared to Balochistan.

He said that first of all we have to improve our primary education which would ultimately improve our future. Mr Siddiqui announced to establish the chair of Ustad Bukhari in Sindh University.
