JHANG, June 4: The District Bar Association (DBA) on Monday criticised the locking of the district and sessions court on May 30. In a resolution, the association said the incident had hurt DBA members and they apologised to the district and sessions judge.
The resolution was passed at a DBA’s meeting attended by DBA and Punjab Bar Council’s (PbBC) members.
In the resolution, they praised the behaviour of the district and sessions judge and said she settled down the matter in an amicable manner.
They also expressed the resolve not to let such incidents occur again.
The resolution reads: “We will strive for prestige of the judiciary and no effort will be spared in this regard.”
Judges remained present in the courts and the usual work continued.—APP
