HYDERABAD, June 11: The Revenue Department has given remission in water rates, land tax, local and drainage cess to 1,243 dehs of 27 talukas of Sindh. The remission had been allowed with the approval of the Sindh chief minister for crop damage during heavy rains and flood in July and August last year.
According to the Board of Revenue Hyderabad, the dehs of non-calamity affected declared talukas in which remission had been allowed at different scale varying from 25 per cent to 100 per cent in water rates, land tax, local cess and drainage cess include 11 dehs of taluka Hyderabad, 56 dehs of Mirpur Bathoro, 61 dehs of Sujawal, 57 dehs of Ghorabari, 84 dehs of Mirpur Sakro, 29 dehs of Tando Muhammad Khan, 55 dehs of Tando Ghulam Hyder, 76 dehs of Bulri Shah Karim, 48 dehs of Matiari, 27 dehs of Saeedabad, 29 dehs of Hala, 21 dehs of Tando Allahyar, 29 dehs of Chambar, 72 dehs of Ghotki, 37 dehs of Khangarh, 59 dehs of Mirpur Mathelo, 47 dehs of Daharki, 56 dehs of Ubauro, 71 dehs of Daur, 70 dehs of Digri, 63 dehs of Jhuddo, 28 dehs of Tando Adam, 47 dehs of Shahdadpur, 48 dehs of Pithoro, 12 dehs of Kotri, 12 dehs of Manjhand and 38 dehs of Sehwan.
