HYDERABAD, June 21: PTCL General Manager Siraj Aziz has said that computerized fault management system will be introduced in Hyderabad soon to remove faults in telephone connections without any delay.

He was talking to the office-bearers and members of executive committee of the Hyderabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry at its secretariat on Thursday. Chamber president Yousuf Suleman and chairman of its sub-committee on telephones Saleemuddin Qureshi apprised Mr Aziz about the problems of telephone subscribers.

Mr Aziz said that with the introduction of the system, there would be no need for the telephone operator to register a complaint but a complaint would be automatically registered in the computer whenever a complainant dialled the complaint number.

The official said that digital subscriber line system was also being introduced, which would provide internet, telephone and cable service to the subscribers simultaneously.

Speaking about the management of PTCL infrastructure in Hyderabad, he said that new cables were being laid in the new Cloth Market area and on Foujdari and Risala road to redress grievances of the subscribers.
