HYDERABAD, June 26: Mr. Justice Amir Hani Muslim of Sindh High Court Hyderabad circuit bench on Tuesday has directed DPO Mirpurkhas to appear before the court in case bailable warrants against two persons, including husband of a petitioner, remained un-served.

The case is fixed for June 29 and bailable warrants were issued in a sum of Rs25,000 each. The petitioner woman has sought protection from court.

The order was passed on a constitutional petition, filed by Ms.Salma Parveen through Abdul Sattar Sarki advocate. The court had earlier issued notices to SHO Kot Ghulam Mohammad police station, private respondents and Additional Advocate -General Sindh.

According to her petition, six year back she was married to Murad alias Kandero Halepoto, a private respondent and has one daughter.

After marriage, she was living a happy life and then her husband changed his attitude towards her as he started maltreating and harassing her. She said he was a man of questionable integrity. Then he sold her articles of dowry after losing in gambling.

His activities were tolerated by her but he finally levelled allegations of illicit relations without any reason against her and threatened her of dire consequences.

She apprehended that she would be murdered on the pretext of karo-kari as she failed to arrange money for her husband.

Two months back Murad alias Kandero, the husband of petitioner, came in the house in a state of intoxication and demanded money for his immoral activities and on her refusal she was tortured.

She said for past two months she was residing with her mother, Ms.Amna, as Murad neither visited her nor paid a single penny towards her maintenance. About 15 days back, Murad alias Kandero along with one Umaid Halepoto visited her and tried to kidnap her. She raised a hue and cry, forcing him to leave.

She said out of fear she came to Hyderabad along with her mother and went into hiding. On May 30 she filed a suit for dissolution of marriage before judicial magistrate-VI.
