Fazl urges talks with Benazir

LAHORE, July 1: Muttahida Majlis-i-Amal secretary-general Maulana Fazlur Rehman on Sunday made an offer to PPP chairperson Benazir Bhutto to sit together (with the MMA) and sort out the issue of the alliance’s presence in the Balochistan government.

Talking to reporters at Mansoora, the Jamaat-i-Islami headquarters where he had come to attend a meeting of the MMA’s Supreme Council, the Maulana said “there is no problem in sorting out this problem (Balochistan government) if Benazir and I sit together for a dialogue because such political issues can always be settled through talks”.—Correspondent
