PHF appoints match officials

LAHORE, July 4: The Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) has appointed a panel of technical officials for the 27th Junior national hockey championship to be staged in Faisalabad from Aug 18 to 26.

Syed Zahir Shah, from Peshawar has been named tournament director while former Olympian, Khalid Bashir, from Faisalabad will be the assistant tournament director.

Secretary Punjab Hockey Association, former Olympian Rana Mujahid Ali, has been appointed organizing secretary. Younis Siddiqui (Karachi), will be the tournament officer.

Rashid Mahmood Butt will be the umpires manager.

The meeting to brief the officials and managers of the teams about the tournament will be held on Aug 17.
