NAWABSHAH, July 10: Police on Tuesday booked 14 people on charges of encroaching upon forest land following an FIR lodged by range forest officer of Mari Jalbani forest, Arif Ali.

He said in the FIR field at Mari Jalbani police station that he found the 14, including Haji Saheb, Imam Bux, Rasheed, Juman, Hameed, Rahib, Mohammad Khan and Manik, cutting trees to clear forest land during his routine patrolling. Police, however, had made no arrest till the filing of this report.—Correspondent
