KARACHI, July 11: Spinners Irfanuddin and Nauman Alvi shared seven wickets between them to help Pakistan CC crush Okara Gymkhana by 146 runs in the PCB National Inter-club cricket tournament at the KCCA Stadium here on Wednesday.

Off-spinner Irfanuddin bagged four for 26 and slow left-armer Nauman took three for 23 as the Multan club side crashed to 85 all out in 27.2 overs while chasing 232.

Earlier, opener Asad Shafiq slammed 81 off 88 balls with five boundaries as the Karachi champion club scored 231 in 49.4 overs.

In another match, played at the Landhi Gymkhana Ground, Faisalabad’s Combined CC defeated Shabo Star CC of Quetta by four wickets.

The highlights of this game were the fine all-round performances of Ammar Rana and Mohammad Kaleem for their respective sides.

Ammar captured four for 43 with his off-spinners and then bludgeoned a 46-ball 58, including seven fours and one six, as Combined CC reached their target of 211 in 44.1 overs.

Kaleem top-scored with 71, which included seven fours and a brace of sixes, as Shabo Star CC made 210 for nine in their allotted 50 overs. He later claimed three for 24 with his leg-spinners.
