NAWABSHAH: Two killed, 15 hurt

NAWABSHAH, July 14: Two people were killed and 15 others injured when a speedy coach hit a truck on the National Highway near Qazi Ahmed on Saturday. Khadim Hussain, 35 and Allah Bachayo, 40, of Rahimyar Khan died on the spot when a coach which was going to Karachi rammed into a truck (TKM-686) while overtaking.

The injured included Sultan Ahmed, Gulzar, Mukhtiar Baloch, Sonaro, Fida Hussain, Mst Nausheran, Aijaz, Akhtar Hussain, Ms Shumaila, Imran, Ms Uroosa.

They were taken to Rural Health Centre Qazi Ahmed. Seven of the injured were shifted to Nawabshah Medical College Hospital.

The coach driver escaped but police arrested the truck driver.

PROTEST: Hundreds of deserving people staged a demonstration against Baitul Maal outside the Daulatpur press club in protest against non-payment of funds on Saturday.

They said that they were issued approval letters by officials after verification still they were not being given payments due to non-supply of lists to post offices.
