HYDERABAD, July 23: District Nazim Kanwar Naveed Jamil has said that reopening of Hyderabad airport will go a long way in promoting trade and industry and sports events. He was talking to Director, Civil Aviation Training Institute, Asif Bashir Ahmed, at his secretariat, on Monday. He said the airport was made officially functional on June 28 but the posting of relevant staff was being completed now while air service for other cities will resume shortly.

Apart from giving a boost to trade and industrial activity, this will help in holding tournaments, especially cricket at international level, said Nazim.

Kanwar Navved Jamil issued directives for renovation and putting up sign boards at important points of the city and asked the cantonment officials to construct a dual carriage road for the airport.

Director Civil Aviation Training Institute offered training to officials of the concerned department of Latifabad Taluka regarding extinguishing of fire and combating other emergencies.

DCO Aftab Khatri, Latifabad Taluka Nazim Sabir Hussain Kaimkhani, district officer roads, Nizamuddin Shaikh and XEN Iqbal Ahmed were present.
