Badminton event starts today

LAHORE, July 29: Around 200 players of various affiliated units of the Pakistan Badminton Federation have reached Lahore to take part in the 10th Amir Abdullah Khan Rokhri badminton tournament, commencing from Monday.

National champion Wajid Ali and Ayesha Akram will defend men's and women's singles title respectively.

Wapda will defend team event title. Finals will be played on Aug 5.

Cash prizes worth Rs120,000 will be distributed among the players.—Sports Correspondent
