Policeman, Imam hurt in blast

LAKKI MARWAT, Aug 3: Four people, including a policeman and a prayer leader of police station mosque, were injured in an explosion near the Serai Naurang police station on Friday.

Officials said the blast occurred in a bicycle workshop, injuring the shop owner, Sharifullah and his son Aamir.

An official of the Special Branch Police, Anwar Khan, and the prayer leader, Maulana Mohammad Israil, also suffered injuries. The injured men were taken to the Serai Naurang civil hospital, from where they were shifted to the district headquarters hospital in Bannu.

According to the officials, the device was a time bomb.
