CHITRAL: Flights cancelled

Published August 15, 2007

CHITRAL, Aug 14: A Peshawar-bound PIA flight, PK-664, was cancelled here on Tuesday when it developed an electrical fault. As a result, two other flights from and to Chitral were also cancelled, sources said.

The aircraft of the ATR 42 make was recently inducted into the PIA fleet, replacing an ageing Fokker plane.

Sources said the aircraft would be made airworthy by Wednesday following the arrival of engineers and spares from Karachi.
