HYDERABAD, Aug 15: The Sindh High Court has been urged to take suo motu notice of massive traffic jams and firing incidents in the city on the eve of the Independence Day.
This was pleaded by the Jamat-e-Islami leaders of Hyderabad Chapter, Shaikh Shoukat Ali and Dr Fawad Ahmed in a statement issued on Wednesday.
They said lawlessness had become order of the day in Hyderabad and massive traffic jams were witnessed on Latifabad Autobhan Road, Gymkhana Road and other arteries of the city on the eve of the Independence Day with an open display of firearms and firing and deadly driving of motorcycles.
Many people were injured in aerial firing they claimed and said the government failed on all fronts with judiciary the only hope left for people.
The JI leaders urged the SHC to take notice of frequent traffic jams, blue lights, vehicles plying without number plates, tinted glasses and reckless driving.
BS DEGREE: The University of Sindh has introduced four-year BS degree in mathematics under the Institute of Mathematics and Computer Sciences.
Registrar, Muhammad Saleh Rajar through a notification issued on Wednesday said the four-year BS Mathematics degree would be equivalent to the MSc Mathematics degree.
