LARKANA, Aug 19: A ceremony to launch Riaz Sammo’s anthology, Sindho Ahey Sant Mein (Indus is Silent), was held here on Sunday under the aegis of the Writers Club.

Speaking on the occasion, Abdul Ghaffar Tabasum said that a poet was blessed with intense feelings and a keen power of observation which helped him express his thoughts in verse.

Mukhtiar Sammo said that the book was a mirror of the contemporary society and trends as it contained symbolic commentary on the events of social and political importance, besides the inner sentiments of the poet.

Sarkash Sindhi eulogised the creative power of Riaz Samo and said that the magnificent use of alliteration made his work more interesting.
