HYDERABAD, Aug 22: A large number of people from Matiari belonging to Sand community and the disciples of Syed Zulfiqar Ali Shah Jamote staged a demonstration outside the Hyderabad Press Club on Wednesday to protest against inordinate delay in the arrest of murderers of Abdul Sattar Sand s/o of Gul Hassan Sand.

Haji Ghulam Nabi Sand, Abdul Razzaq Sand and Aijaz Sand complained that Abdul Sattar was murdered in Matiari town in 2001 but no action had been taken by police against murderers. They demanded immediate arrest of the accused.

Later, Pir Abdul Qayoom Jan Sarhandi, Sajjada Nasheen of the shrine of Pir Abdul Hameed Jan Sarhandi, Ghorabari, along with the representatives of Sand community, addressed a news conference against Pir Mujadid Sarhandi of Matiari. Pir Abdul Qayoom Sarhandi alleged Pir Mujadid and his brother Abdul Aleem were involved in crimes.

He claimed many FIRs had been registered against two brothers at different police stations of Karachi. He also levelled other allegations against the brothers and demanded an inquiry against them. He said allegations levelled against Syed Zulfiqar Jamote and the DPO Matiari were totally false.
