Low attendance at camp

Published August 29, 2007

LAHORE, Aug 28: Only 12 out of a total of 27 probables reported on the first day of the Pakistan ‘A’ training camp on Tuesday.

The selection committee present on the venue to observe the boys in action showed its disappointment at the poor turnout but chief selector Salahuddin Ahmed was hopeful that all the players would reach Lahore to attend the camp from Wednesday.

The camp was set up to pick and prepare an ‘A’ team for the home series against Australia ‘A’, starting from Sept 5. The visitors will play three one-day and two four-day matches against Pakistan ‘A’.
