10 FC men kidnapped

GHALLANI, Sept 1: Ten personnel of the Frontier Corps, including a major, were kidnapped by armed militants in the Mohmand Agency on Saturday night, officials said.

The soldiers, headed by Major Asif, were going from Ghallani, the headquarters of Mohmand Agency, to their camp in Mohhamad Gut, 35km from Ghallani.

Locals said the FC personnel had been taken away by some 50 armed militants in the Qandhari area.
