HYDERABAD, Sept 4: The president of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz, Mian Shahbaz Sharif, said on Tuesday that he and his brother Mian Nawaz Sharif were mentally prepared for arrest and any possible sacrifices they might have to render for the restoration of true democracy in eth country.

Speaking from London on telephone at a seminar organised by the Hyderabad chapter of his party on “The role of media in the independence of judiciary and restoration of democracy” Mr Sharif reiterated his resolve that nobody could stop him and his brother Mian Nawaz Sharif from landing in Pakistan on Sept 10.

Following decision of the apex court, he and his elder brother would land at Islamabad airport on Sept 10, and then go to Lahore in a big procession, he added.

The prevailing situation in Pakistan posed a great challenge. Terrorists and saboteurs had invaded the country and they needed to be challenged now, he said.

He said that massive unemployment, lawlessness and price hike were the other simmering problems, which needed urgent attention. He condemned the Pindi tragedy and demanded an inquiry into the incident which claimed many precious lives. Rampant corruption in development projects in Karachi and Hyderabad also required in-depth investigation, he added.
