KARACHI, Sept 10: Spin duo of Farhan Ahmed and Adeel Hanif triggered a Karachi Urban collapse to help Multan take first day’s honours in the three-day PCB Inter-regional Under-19 Cricket Championship match at the Landhi Gymkhana Ground here on Monday.

Electing to bat first, Karachi Urban were bowled out for a disappointing 175 in their first innings after being 79 for one at one stage.

Barring skipper Shan Masood, who made an attractive 53 off 65 balls with 11 boundaries, none of the other batsmen played a lengthy innings.

Slow left-armer Farhan returned excellent figures of five for 31 in 16 overs while off-spinner proved an ideal foil with four for 58 in 21 overs.

Multan closed at 104 for four in reply.
