Saboteurs blow up pylon

QUETTA, Sept 16: Some saboteurs blew up a pylon in Mastung district as a consequence of which the power supply to many areas was suspended on Sunday.

Official sources said that some unidentified suspects had planted an explosive device around a 132 KV transmission line.

The engineers and other staff of the Quetta Electric Supply Company (Qesco) started replacing the damaged pylon.

A Qesco official said that the power supply would be restored as soon as possible.

SOLDIER INJURED: A Frontier Corps soldier, Sher Khan, was seriously injured in a landmine explosion in Loti on Sunday.

He was injured when a water tanker headed for a check post hit the landmine planted in the Loti gas field.

He was immediately taken to the military hospital Sui.
