KOHAT: Nazim jailed for extortion

KOHAT, Sept 20: A judge sent a union council nazim and his accomplices to the district prison for keeping a carpet dealer of Tank in illegal confinement and on charges of extortion of money on Thursday.

Union council nazim Pir Dilawar Shah, his brother Adil Shah alias Dilshu and Kashif, were arrested on Wednesday.

Kohat DIG Zulfiqar Cheema had received a written complaint from the family of the victim and ordered immediate action against nazim Pir Dilawar Shah and his brother Adil Shah.

The complainant also nominated Kashif in the case who was also arrested by the raiding party.

Police and Frontier Constabulary personnel raided their house and recovered Rehmatullah and registered a case against the accused.
