Faisalabad whip Peshawar by innings

KARACHI, Oct 10: Faisalabad thumped Peshawar by an innings and 27 runs in the three-day fixture of the PCB Inter-regional Under-19 Cricket Championship at the Arbab Niaz Stadium in Peshawar on Wednesday.

Peshawar began the final day at 147 for six while still needing 69 to bat Faisalabad for the second time in the match. But the hosts were bowled out for 189 in their second innings.

Pacemen Zulqarnain (6-78) and Fazal Ranjha (4-40) shared the wickets for Faisalabad.

The remaining three matches were all drawn. Sialkot had already qualified for the final of this segment after trouncing Quetta by an innings ad 185 runs inside two days on Tuesday at Gujranwala’s Jinnah Stadium.Karachi Urban also won within two days when they walloped Hyderabad by an innings and 117 runs at Landhi Gymkhana Ground..
