HYDERABAD, Oct 11: The Birhamani community of Kohistan is being victimised and implicated in false cases to force them to desert Sardar Malik Asad Sikandar and support his opponent Changez Khan and Malik Nadir Khan, alleged Mohammad Saleh Birhamani at a press conference at the press club here on Thursday.

“I will never leave Malik Asad Sikandar as he is not only my Sardar but also a God fearing and decent man, helping the poor,” said Mohammad Saleh.

“Two false cases of murder have been registered against me at Thana Bula Khan Police Station,” he said.

“A man Allah Waraya Sunhero fell from a tree and died of which people of Kohistan were well aware of, but after three years his body was exhumed and I was falsely implicated in his murder,” he added.

He said that he and his brother were implicated in another murder case which was a lesson for refusing to change loyalty in favour of Malik Changez Khan.

He appealed to higher authorities for justice.

About 50 supporters of Birhamani community protested outside the press club.

Taluka Nazim Kotri, Abdur Rehman Memon, Taluka Nazim Thana Bula Khan, Malik Qamardin, Mukhi Dharmomal, Malik Shafqat and Faqir Dad Khoso were also present on the occasion.

Protest: Dozens of people protested outside the press club against shifting of the Taluka Headquarters from Manjand to Sann. The people had gathered on Thursday under the banner of Manjand Taluka Bachayo Committee.

Chairman of the Committee, Mohammad Saleh Memon and others said that they were protesting for last 194 days against the shifting of Taluka headquarters from Manjhand to Sann but the government was ignoring it. They regretted indifferent attitude of intellectuals of Sindh for not intervening in the matter.

He announced of holding an all parties conference after Eid and a march up to the grave of great freedom fighter Makhdoom Bilawal.

He said the people of Manjhand will hoist black flags and observe token hunger strike in Manjhand on Eid day.
