DADU, Oct 18: District Nazim Jamshoro Malik Asad Sikandar said that more development schemes of 30 million rupees had been approved for the district, which included roads, water supply and drainage system.

While talking to the UC nazims, naib nazims, councillors and public at his resident in Thana Bula Khan on Thursday, he assured the people of Thana Bula Khan that 19 development projects of basic amenities like roads, water supply and public parks were approved for only Taluka Thana Bula Khan and the work had been started.

He directed officials to cooperate with nazims in the development schemes. He warned that if any official was found to be involved in corrupt practices, his case would be sent to the anti-corruption establishment.

District Naib Nazim Abdul Hameed Buledi and former MNA Pir Bux Khaskheli were present on the occasion.

ROBBERY: Six unidentified armed men blocked the Johi-Chhinni road near Johi and looted thousands of rupees, gold ornaments and other valuables from passengers of wagons and cars.

The armed men also injured three passengers when they offered resistance.

On Thursday the passengers led by Bajar Jamali staged a demonstration on Johi-Chhinni road demanding recovery of their looted items.

INJURED: Two police officials, including SHO Rukkan police station, were injured in village Borari in Taluka Khairpur Nathan Shah on Wednesday evening when they tried to control aerial firing between two rival groups of Chandios.

SHO Rukkan police, Mohammad Umer Shahnai along with heavy contingent of police reached the spot and attempted to search the houses.

He and constable, Ghulam Shahani received bullets injuries and were shifted to LMC Hospital.

Police arrested 10 villagers after registering an FIR against them.
