KHAIRPUR: Fire destroys 12 houses

KHAIRPUR, Oct 20: Twelve katcha houses were reduced to ashes when a fire broke out in the katcha area near Ripri on Friday evening.

According to reports, the fire broke out in village Razal Kurriyo katcha area near Ripri as a result of which the house of Nisar Kurriyo, Ahmed Ali, Ghulam Sarwar, Shahan, Ramzan, Andal and others were reduced to ashes including household items, huge stock of wheat, cash, 12 goats, three cows and about 30 chickens.

The affected villagers told reporters that due to sudden fire they hardly managed to reach safety.

They complained that they were living in open sky but no government official had visited them nor any help extended to them.
