LAHORE, Oct 21: Pakistan People’s Party Chairperson Benazir Bhutto is said to have deferred indefinitely her visit to Punjab which she had planned to undertake from Oct 25.

According to a senior PPP leader, though Ms Bhutto had decided to begin a visit to the Punjab province by the end of this week, she has decided to reschedule her programme in the wake of terrorist attacks on the party’s Oct 18 rally in Karachi.

Meanwhile, Punjab PPP information secretary Farzana Raja said in a press release issued here on Sunday that the meeting of district and divisional information secretaries scheduled to be held on Oct 23 has been deferred till a date to be announced later.

The meeting, according to Ms Raja, had been convened to consider media arrangements for the PPP chairperson’s visit to the province.
