Girls’ hockey trials begin

LAHORE, Oct 22: More than 50 girls appeared on the first day of under-16 hockey trials at the National Hockey Stadium here on Monday. The trials are being conducted by the Pakistan Hockey Federation Women Wing to select Pakistan team for the U-16 Asia Cup, which will be held in Gowaliar, India.

Initially, 33 players will be selected from the trials to attend a training camp from Wednesday.

After a week’s duration, the players will be reduced to 24.
