HYDERABAD, Oct 28: Syed Farhan Ali Zaidi, a student of MA previous at the University of Sindh has clinched first position in Urdu debate competition in the 11th All-Pakistan Allama Iqbal Shield contest in Islamabad.

Thirty students, six from the provinces and six from the northern areas participated in the debate. Dr Attaur Rehman, chairman of the Higher Education Commission (HEC) presided over the final event in Islamabad.

Mr Zaidi was awarded cash prise of Rs25,000 and a trophy.

The SU Cice-Chancellor Dr Mazharul Haq Siddiqui congratulated the student and his parents and teachers for the honour.
