QUETTA, Oct 31: A division bench of the Balochistan High Court has reserved judgment on a constitutional petition filed by Nawabzada Jamil Akbar Bugti, leader of the Jamhoori Watan Party (Bramdagh group), against the freezing of his bank account and putting his name on the Exit Control List.

The bench, comprising Chief Justice Amanullah Khan Yasinzai and Justice Akhtar Zaman Malghani, after hearing the arguments from both sides on Wednesday reserved its verdict.

The petitioner submitted that he was suffering from pain in the neck and backbone and problems in the nervous system.

The doctors advised him to go to the United States for treatment but he could not go abroad because his bank account had been frozen and of his name was on the ECL.

The petitioner prayed to the court to direct the Ministry of Interior to remove his name from the Exit Control List and order the bank authorities to unfreeze the account to enable him to go to the US for medical treatment.
