HYDERABAD, Nov 2: The three-phase census of villages which began this October will finish by April next as per the federal government decision, said the Deputy Commissioner, Agriculture Census, Ministry of Finance, Mohammad Saleem Kazmi.
He was addressing the meeting of revenue officials of district and Taluka on Thursday which was presided over by the Hyderabad DCO, Aftab Ahmed Khatri.
This was the 8th census being conducted in the country, said Saleem Kazmi adding: “In the first phase, village census work will be completed in Punjab and Sindh.”
Training of revenue staff in Hyderabad will begin from 12th of this month by formulating questionnaire he said and added: “The questionnaire will be deposited in Taluka offices by 28th to be collected by the district government and handed over to representatives of the Agriculture Statistics Department latest by 30th,” he said.
Saleem Kazmi said in the present census basic information of the villages of Pakistan will be collected including agriculture, economic and social conditions, health, and education facilities.
