MACAU, Nov 2: Pakistan beat Bangladesh in their last league match by 28-7 to breeze into the final of the kabbadi event at the Macau Indoor Asian Games here on Friday.

They will now be facing arch-rivals India in the final to be played on Saturday.

Pakistan quelled a weak Bangladesh challenge with skills and precision of technique, taking firm 13-1 lead in the first session. In the following session they again outclassed Bangladesh with greater agility and teamwork.

Pakistan kept Bangladesh under pressure and their raiders Nasir Ali, Wajid Ali, Mohammad Akram, Naveel Akram, Rahat Maqsood, Hussain Sajjad and Adnan Afzal showed fine skills to keep the Bangladeshi players at bay in the arena.

Barring an early league game loss to India, the Pakistan team beat Malaysia, Japan, Iran and Sri Lanka on its way to the final.

But now the Pakistan team faces an uphill task against India which is considered as the super-power of kabbadi in Asia.—APP
