NAWABSHAH, Nov 4: More than 2,000 candidates appeared in the test for admission to different disciplines of the Quaid-i-Awam University of Engineering, Science and Technology here on Sunday.

The dean of the Faculty of QUEST, Prof A.B. Soomro told journalists that 3,011 candidates had submitted their forms for 637 seats -- 455 for pre engineering, 62 for IT, 70 for BCS and 50 for mathematics.

He said that the Mohammed Ali Jinnah University, which conducted the test, cleared 2,947 forms. A total of 2,837 candidates appeared in the test while 110 were absent, he said. Jinnah University’s Prof Abdul Wahab said that result would be announced in four days.
