Levies men kidnapped

PARACHINAR, Nov 5: Three Levies personnel and a security guard of a restaurant were kidnapped in an attack on a checkpoint in lower Kurram Agency on Sunday night, officials said.

They said that about 50 armed men attacked Chappari checkpoint adjacent to Hangu district and exchanged fire with the security personnel. After an exchange of fire, the attackers captured four Levies men and the guard of a restaurant near the checkpoint.

However, one of the kidnapped Levies men, Izhar Hussain, escaped later.—Correspondent
