HYDERABAD, Nov 9: An unconstitutional government results in sabotage, lawlessness and civil war which the world witnessed in 1970s, said the Awami Tahreek Chief, Rasool Bux Palijo in an address to party workers, on Friday.

He said had Sindhis known that they would be ruled by the barbarians and there would be no rule of law, constitution and justice, they would not have accepted such a Pakistan. He regretted that even after the passage of 60 years, the country had been deprived of constitution, rule of law and moral values.

He pointed out that in the civilized world, laws had been enacted and were being strictly enforced even for the rights of animals. He, however, said that in Pakistan, the law of jungle was prevailing. He said that all the nations who opted for Pakistan were guaranteed right of sovereignty and resources but under a planned conspiracy, the country had been held hostage over all these years and even disintegrated. He said the announcement made by General Musharraf was a flagrant violation of constitution, law and fundamental rights adding that this action could destroy the country. He called up the people from all walks of life to launch a joint struggle against the dictatorship and for the restoration of democratic and constitutional rights of the people.

STP: The Sindh Taraqi Passand Party has condemned the alleged arrest of 180 party activists and raids on their houses.
