Saad Rafiq shifted to Bahawalpur jail

BAHAWALPUR, Nov 14: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Saad Rafiq was shifted from Lahore to Bahawalpur’s new central jail late on Tuesday night.

On his arrival here, local PML leaders Malik Muhammad Iqbal Channar, Samiullah and Mumtaz Ahmed Jajja met him.

Separately, local lawyers continued their strike after 10:30am to press for the acceptance of their demands.

POWER BREAKDOWN: About half of the city plunged into darkness due to a five-hour power breakdown on Tuesday night.

The problem started when high voltage wires on Satellite Town’s Rafi Qamar Road broke at 7:30pm. The Multan Electric Power Company could only restore the power supply to the area at 12:30am.
