Punjab, Wapda in volleyball final

ISLAMABAD, Nov 14: Wapda will take on Punjab in the seventh National Women’s Volleyball Championship final on Thursday here at the Rodham Hall, Pakistan Sports Complex.

In the first semi-final played on Wednesday, Wapda outplayed the HEC 3-1 with set score being 21-25, 25-15, 25-12 and 25-11. Meanwhile, in the second pre-final Punjab trounced Islamabad 3-0 with set score 25-14, 25-11, 25-13.

On Tuesday, Islamabad defeated Sindh 2-0 with set score 25-17, 25-10; Punjab beat AJK 2-0 with set score 25-0, 25-0; Wapda thrashed Sindh 2-0 with set score 25-8, 25-10.

The HEC overpowered AJK 2-0 (25-6, 25-8); Islamabad outplayed Fata 2-0 with set score 25-5, 25-6 and Punjab overcame the NWFP 2-0 with set score being 25-8, 25-8. —Agencies
