HYDERABAD: Nutritional unit

HYDERABAD, Nov 22: The Liaquat University of Medical and Health Sciences (LUMHS) Jamshoro had established the Nutritional Rehabilitation Unit and Paediatric I.C.U. in the Department of Paediatric Medicine Unit-I to help prevent in malnutrition children, said the chairperson of the department on Thursday.

She said that 50 per cent of child patients, who were referred to the university’s hospital, which was a tertiary referral centre for Hyderabad and interior of Sindh, were malnourished.

Among them 13 per cent were severely malnourished and might need hospitlisation for proper treatment, she added.
